Very relaxing and beautifully presented - there were many surprises, from opening the fridge to opening the French doors that lead to the back garden. Thanks Sally, we loved your bnb.

About Forth River Cottage

The birth of Forth River Cottage came from Sandy, Sally's Mother. Sandy was born in South Africa and was familiar with the Cape Dutch architecture having lived in a similar style property growing up in Cape Town. When Sally discovered Vrede while looking for a new home in northern Tasmania, Sandy was immediately drawn to the property.

We had an amazing stay. Really loved it.
Check in was very easy. Instructions by Sally clear and concise and she kindly came and visited us and supplied lactose free milk. Location is on the Forth River. Very tranquil and peaceful. At night amazing star gazing. This is a good spot for day trips to Cradle Mountain, Stanley (Nut) and Launceston - Cataract George and Josef Chromy Winery. The food provided by Sally was first rate. Enough for for the four days we spent there. The bed and pillows deserve a special mention. We slept very soundly and really so important on a holiday.
We enjoyed the tea and coffee supplied and the fine China. Great care has been shown by Sally in the delivery of great food /drink. The chocolate provided were a treat and we visited the House of Anvers Chocolate Shop that is close by. Shower had plenty of space and the Tassie body/hand wash were first rate. Soft towels! TV was perfect and all channels and Netflix.
Unconditional recommend. Loved it.
